Hi Nigel

Thanks - yes it was the 400mm F5.6L USM. I have had a lot more practice with it during the autumn and winter months and feel more confident using it now. I still find it hard hand holding for the small birds though if they are that bit further away. The goose shots werent that close either so I was quite pleased with them.
