Anyone seen the story about the flame brocades apparently setting up a colony somewhere in south east UK on the BBC

What are the thoughts on this? how correct is the story???

The news comes from a BC source and is reasoned speculation - while it doesn't say that larvae have been found, the quantity of individuals being seen indicates that there must be a local colony. It was resident in that part of the world at the back end of the 19th Century so it isn't unlikely. Recent years have seen a number of previously rare migrants gain a foothold in the country - e.g. Blue Underwing, Platypterigea kadenii and Oak Rustic, and perhaps Orache, so this could be just one of many more to come.
