Dear Mike,
Had a feeling it was a bad one. You have my sympathies having had the same problem when I was racing so long ago now but I just had busted up arms and a wrecked bike.
Anyway this will cheer you up. Ran the trap on the 21st december and got a moth which Mike jeffes has just sorted as Monopis obviella.

Best wishes chum and happy christmas to all mothing folk. Can't wait for next year.

David Evans

Hi Mike

Would be a real shame if the moth talk part of the site closes, it is an invaluable resource to gain knowledge in the species caught by myself and others. Its also really easy to use which is great !!

Back to bikes, what sort of road bike do u have ??

Happy Xmas

Justin

Hope all had a good christmas. I've survived a combined parents and mother-in-law experience for the past few days down Southend way and we are now thankfully back in Hampshire! The days have gradually become less painful but the nights are still an uncomfortable painful wrestle with consciousness; hope it all settles down before i'm due back at work on Tuesday.

Justin, my main bike is a 2010 Scott CR1; I was riding a mountain bike at the time, a Felt Virtue, which amazingly escaped with just a few scratches - I think it must have landed on me, not the road!

Mike

Not yet Jean, not allowed out of sling yet! Won't be back on bike for a month or so I guess, and will have to see whether i'll be allowed to drive anytime earlier than that.

Following my message which started this thread, I've decided to leave well alone for the time being. But if anyone is on Facebook, I've set up a new group, called Hantsmoths, which may, or may not, eventually take off.

No probs. You should try Facebook though - it's a lot more dynamic than the forum format.
