Only flutterby I've seen so far were two male Brimstone flitting through the garden in sunshine last Saturday. Mind you, not been out much!

Two Comma butterflies photographed by Graham on 15th March as promised. The 1st was on Thuja 'Stoneham's Gold', the second smaller butterfly (although the size of these photos don't reflect that), was guarding a flowery area which it defended vigorously from the other Comma; always returning eventually to his favourite rock :D Jean

:) I do, but cycling to and fro to work in Basingstoke doesn't take me through much butterfly habitat, and riding full pelt in a pack on a weekend training ride isn't conducive to seeing much either - and yep, with the state of the roads, you take yer eyes off the road in front at one's peril! What I meant was I haven't had the chance to go on any walks in the countree, not when the sun's been out anyway.
