Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species), occurring in sand-dunes in parts of Kent, a priority species under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 4.5-6.2 mm. Larva mines leaves of Creeping Willow and Sallow, over-wintering as a pupa.
