Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed. This resident of mainland Europe is included on the British list on the basis of a single historical record. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan male 23-26 mm, female wingless. Larva feeds on various grasses, living within a movable case.
