Main: (Tineidae / Scardiinae)
12.010 [B&F: 0196] Morophaga choragella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Notes: Local in woodland throughout much of southern England. In Hampshire widespread and fairly common, although the first Isle of Wight record was not until 1996. Wingspan 20-30 mm. There is some variation in extent of the markings, but this species is clearly distinguished from other resident British Tineidae by its large size (MBGBI Vol 2). Larva feeds on bracket fungus and rotten wood.
