Notes: Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) and possibly already extinct. Not observed since about 1900, formerly reported from the Midlands at Boughton, Worcestershire, Whittlebury Forest, Northamptonshire and near Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire, and also from Worthing, Sussex, where it was fairly common in the late 19th Century (MBGBI Vol 2). Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 9-10 mm. Larva mines leaves of Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Cotoneaster, Rowan and Apple.
