Main: (Gracillariidae / Gracillariinae)
15.015 [B&F: 0294] Aspilapteryx tringipennella (Zeller, 1839)

Notes: Common on downland, rough grassland, waste ground and roadside verges throughout the British Isles, as far north as Shetland. Common in Hampshire, scarcer on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 10-13 mm. The imago is active in afternoon and evening sunshine and occasionally comes to light, and more likely to be recorded in the larval stage, when mines are relatively easy to find where they are present. Larva mines leaves of Ribwort Plantain, subsequently living within a leaf-roll.
