Notes: Nationally scarce (Nb) on heathland, downland and grassland in the coastal counties of southern England, from Norfolk to Cornwall, and north-western England. In Hampshire recorded sparsely in both vice counties. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 6-7 mm. May be obtained by beating gorse bushes, it is seldom seen except as an adult. Larva mines spines of Gorse.
