Main: (Douglasiidae / Douglasiinae)
26.001 [B&F: 0398] Tinagma ocnerostomella (Stainton, 1850)

Notes: Nationally scarce (Nb) in dry open areas in south and south-east England, from Devon to Lincolnshire. In Hampshire the distribution of this species is limited by that of its foodplant, ViperĘs Bugloss, and it is now known from several localities along the coast of south Hampshire; in north Hampshire it has recently been re-located at Micheldever (see below), whence it was recorded in the early 1970s. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 8-9 mm. Larva feeds within stems of Viper's Bugloss, over-wintering in a cocoon.
