Notes: Rare (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) and restricted to deciduous woodland in the coastal counties of south-eastern England. In Hampshire known from the 19th Century, thereafter not recorded until 1986, with an increase in records from 1995 onwards, when fairly frequent in the south of the county. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 13-15 mm. Larva mines fruit of Butcher's-broom.
