Notes: Common in grassland throughout much of the British Isles. In Hampshire widespread and reasonably common, but perhaps under-recorded; there have been no recent records from the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 8-10 mm. The male is usually recognisable by its pale grey-brown forewings that are almost devoid of markings (MBGBI Vol 3). Larva mines leaves of various grasses.
