Main: (Lypusidae / Lypusinae)
30.001 [B&F: 0661] Agnoea (Pseudatemelia) flavifrontella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Notes: Nationally scarce (Nb) in woodland in southern England. In Hampshire recorded infrequently and irregularly from a handful of sites, mainly in the south. First recorded on the Isle of Wight at Parkhurst Forest in 1973, but not since. Wingspan 19-24 mm. Reliably separated from P. josephinae and P. subochreella only by dissection of the genitalia, however P. josephinae tends to appear later in the year, and P. subochreella generally has a plainer forewing and darker hindwing. Larva feeds on leaf litter and various lichens, living and feeding in a movable case.
