Vulnerable (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on estuarine marshes in Kent and Essex. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 15-18 mm. Chief confusion species is A. yeatiana which is larger and has the veins in the forewing less distinctly dark-lined (MBGBI Vol 4 part 1). Larva feeds on Hog's Fennel, living within a spun or rolled leaf.
