Notes: Nationally scarce (Nb) in open calcareous grassland in south-eastern England, from Dorset and Wiltshire to Kent, southern Wales and western Ireland. In Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight recorded recently only from Old Basing in the north of the county, Roydon Woods in the south, and Rew Down, Ventnor, on the Island. Wingspan 19-22 mm. The most likely confusion species are A. kaekeritziana and A. bipunctosa, which see for differences. Larva feeds on Greater Knapweed, living within a spun or rolled leaf.
