Notes: Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) and confined to open ground on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, where it has persisted for over 150 years. Not recorded from Hampshire to date. Wingspan 9-14 mm. Larva feeds on seeds of Buckshorn Plantain, over-wintering in a cocoon.
