Notes: Local in damp grassland, ditches, woodland rides and saltmarshes throughout much of southern England, southern Wales and southern Ireland. In Hampshire still reasonably common in the south-east of the county, but it has become scarce in recent years in north Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 10-12 mm. Comes readily to light, and is fairly distinctive. Larva feeds within seedheads of Common Fleabane and Golden-samphire, over-wintering as a pupa.
