Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) in sand-dunes at Sandwich, Kent. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. an old record for Hayling Island has never been confirmed. Wingspan 8.5-11 mm. The most likely confusion species is
C. blandella, which see for differences. Larva feeds within seed capsules of Little Mouse-ear, living between seeds spun together with silk.
