Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on cliffs at just two sites, at Sidmouth in Devon and Luccombe Chine on the Isle of Wight. On the Isle of Wight, the classic locality for this species is Luccombe Chine, where it still flourishes. Not recorded in Hampshire. Wingspan 11-16 mm. Reminiscent of
G. caecana, but readily distinguished by the orange-ochreous suffusion in the distal area of the forewing [Bradley]. Larva feeds on Narrow-leaved Everlasting-pea, living between leaves spun together with silk, over-wintering in a cocoon.
