Main: (Crambidae / Crambinae)
63.083 [B&F: 1297] Crambus uliginosellus Zeller, 1850

In Hampshire, locally common in the wetter bogs of the New Forest, elsewhere, has been recorded recently only from the Deadwater Valley (vc12). There are only old records from the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 18-23mm. Looks whiter than other Crambus in flight, and distinguished by broad white median longitudinal streak which touches costa to half-way [Goater]. Larva feeds on various grasses, living within a silken tube or tent.
