Notes: Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) from mainland Europe (where abundant, for example, in west-central France), appearing occasionally in southern England, mostly in Kent. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 30-34 mm. Unmistakable. Larva feeds on stems of Cock's-foot and various grasses.
