Notes: Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) to southern England from southern Europe. In Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight just two records prior to 2006, one at Freshwater in 1958 and one in Southampton in 2000, with no less than eight in 2006. Wingspan 19-22 mm. Nascia cilialis has somewhat similar coloration but much broader wings [Goater]. Larva feeds on Purple Toadflax, no evidence of breeding in the UK.
