Notes: Nationally scarce (Na) in coniferous woodland and plantations throughout much of southern England. In Hampshire a rather elusive species in stands of Norway Spruce, mainly in the New Forest, which continues to be recorded annually in very small numbers; very rare on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 22-25 mm. Larva feeds within cones of Norway Spruce, causing sufficient damage to be a serious pest in some areas.
