Notes: A vulnerable Red Data Book species, in forests and large woods; 0-300 m (0-1500 m in Europe) in parts of southern England; northern Europe. In Hampshire still reasonably common in the New Forest and can be found in most large woods across the county and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 52-60 mm. Larva feeds on Honeysuckle.
