Notes: Common in grassland, woodland edges and gullies; 0-2000 m throughout much of southern Europe. In Britain, one of unknown origin was found in Surrey in 1974. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 44-48 mm. Larva feeds on various grasses.
