Now known to be resident here and in Cornwall. On the Isle of Wight, recorded for the first time at Bonchurch in August 2008, with further records at the same site in 2010 and 2011. Now probably resident at low levels on the south of the island. Hampshire's first record was in 2013, and sporadic records and future breeding may be expected.

Wingspan 28-32 mm. Similar to Blair's Mocha C. puppillaria. Larva feeds on Pedunculate Oak and Turkey Oak, over-wintering as a pupa.
