Recorded infrequently through accidental importation in dried flowers from southern Europe. Found a number of times in the late 19th Century, mainly in central London. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 16-19 mm. Most resembles Weaver's Wave I. contiguaria, but that species restricted to hillsides in North Wales. Larva feeds on dried herbs, no evidence of breeding in the UK.
