Common in gardens, allotments, rough ground and woodland throughout the British Isles, but rare in north-east Scotland. Widespread and common in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 27-31 mm. Larva feeds on various Cruciferae, including Garlic Mustard, Shepherd's-purse, Hairy Bitter-cress and Cabbage, over-wintering as a pupa.
