Common in a wide range of habitats, including gardens, hedgerows, roadside verges, calcareous grassland, heathland, open woodland and high moorland throughout the British Isles. Widespread and common in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 25-29 mm. A very distinctive moth, but prone to extreme fading, when can resemble
