1829 Doubleday's Pug (Eupithecia cauchiata) (Duponchel, 1831) - (Geometridae / Larentiinae (Eupethicinii))

 

Notes: Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) from mainland Europe, recorded just once in Britain, in Essex in the middle of the 19th Century. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 22-24 mm. Larva feeds on Goldenrod, no evidence of breeding in the UK.
