Notes: Common in broad-leaved woodland, hedgerows and gardens throughout much of the British Isles. In Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight widespread and common, a species of conservation concern under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan. Wingspan 32-38 mm. Unmistakable. Larva feeds on flower buds of Ash, preferring isolated, mature trees.
