A rare Red Data Book species, on sea cliffs and rocky coasts, in north Cornwall, north Devon and Somerset. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 40-47 mm. The most likely confusion species is Blackneck L. pastinum, which see for differences. Larva feeds on Wood Vetch, over-wintering as an egg.
