Recorded once through accidental importation in produce from Central America; found on the door of St. John's Church at Horselydown in east London, near to docks where the moth is presumed to have originated. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Distinguished from the other species of the genus by the absence of any dark border to the yellow hind-wings.
