Local in woodland throughout much of Britain. In Hampshire fairly widespread, but not particularly common, in most areas, except for the New Forest. There have been no recent records from the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 17-22 mm. The rounded forewing and conspicuous curved subbasal fascia are characteristic [Bradley]. Larva feeds on flowers of Bluebell and Ox-eye Daisy, living within a silken tube or tent.
