Nationally scarce (Na) on calcareous grassland in Kent, Sussex, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Recorded at Porton Down and Shipton Bellinger on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan male 23-30 mm, female 19-23 mm. Day-flying. Very similar to Forester Adscita statices and Cistus Forester A. geryon, from which distinguished by minute differences in the antennae. Larva mines the leaves of Common Knapweed and Greater Knapweed.
